Planning Commission
Authority
The Washoe County Planning Commission, under State law and by Washoe County ordinance, reviews and adopts the Washoe County Master Plan, to include area plans. The Planning Commission, under Washoe County ordinance, reviews and provides recommendations to the County Commission on code amendments to Chapter 110, the Development Code. The Planning Commission, under the same County ordinance, also reviews and approves tentative subdivision maps, certain types of special use permits, and other similar development applications.
Membership
The Planning Commission consists of seven members appointed to four-year terms by the County Commission.
