Human Services Agency

Our Mission

The mission of the Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) is to promote the health, safety, and well-being of children, adults, seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness who are vulnerable to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We are committed to providing compassionate, professional, and responsive services that protect, empower, and uplift those in need.

Through a continuum of services and seamless care across the lifespan, we support individuals and families at every stage of life. Our programs are designed to strengthen self-sufficiency, ensure safe and secure communities, and promote healthy, thriving residents. By providing resources, guidance, and advocacy for those who need it most, we work hand-in-hand with our community to build a stronger, safer, and more connected Washoe County.
