Washoe County offers several payment options for Utility accounts:
1. Pay Online- Bill pay program. You may make a one-time only payment or create a profile and schedule recurring payments (16-digit account number required). You can also maintain your payment account information with your profile. Pay with a credit card, debit card, or E-check. No fees charged to make payment.
2. Pay by Phone- (866) 334-6014. You will need your 16 digit account number. Pay with a credit card, debit card or E-check (no fees charged to make payment).
3. Traditional Payment- Your payments may be made by check or money order and mailed to the Washoe CountyTreasurer`s Office, P.O. Box 30085, Reno, Nevada 89520-3030, by the due date shown on the bill. Please use the envelope provided with your billing statement and enclose the payment stub. If you prefer to pay in person, you may bring your cash or check payment in to the Washoe County Treasurer`s Office, 1001 East Ninth Street Bldg D, Reno, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If preferred, you may also make a credit card payment in person at the CSD Utility Office, 1001 E Ninth Street Bldg A, 2nd Floor, Reno, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
4. Washoe County also has a payment drop box at 1001 E. 9th Street, Reno
Frequently Asked Questions:
Billing Schedule - Washoe County bills its Utility customers on a monthly basis. Billing is done at the end of each month for the month just completed. Bills usually reach the customers within three days of mailing. If you have not received your bill or have questions regarding your bill, rates for services, etc., please contact us at (775) 954-4601.
Late Payments - Payments received after the due date will be assessed a late payment processing fee of 1.5 percent of the outstanding balance plus a handling fee of $5.00.
Bill Responsibly - Please be aware that a property owner is ultimately responsible for non-payment of utility bills and that until paid, all utility charges constitute a perpetual lien on and against the property served.
