Horse Arenas
Washoe County manages five different horse arenas which are open to the public year round, unless otherwise reserved. Please contact Park Reservations at (775) 823-6501, reserveparks@washoecounty.gov for current fees and availability.
Bartley Ranch Regional Park
6000 Bartley Ranch Road, Reno
The horse arena is 294 feet long by 152 feet wide. There are three barrels for barrel racing, a holding pen on the north side of the arena, horse trough, and seating area with 5 15' metal benches. There is plenty of parking all along the north, east, and south ends of the arena.
Reserving party is responsible for dust control during their event and depending upon conditions, may be required to either provide their own water truck or reimburse the County for County truck and driver costs. During the winter months (end of October through end of April) bathrooms are not available and groups must provide their own portable toilets.
Golden Valley Park
7490 Hillview Drive, Reno, NV 89506
Arena is approximately 290'x145' with ample parking.
Reserving party is responsible for dust control during their event and depending upon conditions, may be required to either provide their own water truck or reimburse the County for County truck and driver costs.
*From October through April the water is shut off and the restrooms are closed.
Hidden Valley Regional Park/ Clarence K. Bath Memorial Arena
4740 Parkway Drive, Reno (off of Pembroke Drive)
The horse arena is 256 feet long by 128 feet wide. There are three barrels for barrel racing, three holding pens on the north end of the arena with a chute, an announcers stand with power, and plenty of parking for horse trailers - three tiers (285 feet long) with parking on either side. The seating area has thirty 45' metal benches with an ADA seating area for one or two wheelchairs and six picnic tables, three grills and one ADA picnic table with a grill.

Lemmon Valley Horseman's Arena
11400 Deodar Way, Lemmon Valley
The main arena is approximately 380'x170', the warm up arena is approximately 120'x80' and the circular arena is approximately 70' diameter. There is a playground, ample parking, a control booth/concession/restroom building and small covered picnic area.

Silver Knolls Park
West Silver Knolls Blvd.
The park is located 15 miles northwest of Reno off Red Rock Road on West Silver
Knolls Boulevard. This horse arena is not reservable.
