Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater
The Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater is a unique venue with an intimate garden atmosphere ideal for performances, fund raisers and special events. Located within Bartley Ranch Regional Park, at 6000 Bartley Ranch Road, it is just minutes from downtown Reno, Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and The Shops at Bartley Ranch. Enter Bartley Ranch Regional Park off of Lakeside Drive which is about one half mile south of McCarren Boulevard. As you cross the covered bridge, you will pass by the Historic Huffaker School, one of Reno’s original one-room school houses (dated 1867), then continue on, past the Western Heritage Interpretive Center, horse arena, and Flying B picnic pavilion to the amphitheater, tucked beneath the scenic Windy Hill.
A full stage building with dressing rooms, restrooms and available electricity offers a variety of options from concerts to ceremonies to corporate presentations. Space is also available opposite the ticket booth for autographs or sale of performer’s items (CD’s, Raffle Tickets, T-shirts etc.). Supplements such as tents, chairs, tables, risers, flags, and podiums are available for use on request.
There are 403 permanent seats and grass seating for up to 500-600 people. Maximum occupancy for this facility is 1000 people. Grass seating patrons must bring blankets and low back folding chairs. While the rest of the park is available for our furry friends, there are sadly no pets or glass bottles allowed in the amphitheater.
Reserving the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater:
- Reservations must be made at least 30 days in advance.
- Reservations can be made no more than one year in advance from the current date.
- A completed Robert Z Hawkins Performance Questionnaire will be required.

2020-2021 Fee Information:
6-hour minimum - $240.00/hour
Non-performance fee - $120.00/hour (applicable 6-hour minimum reservation)
$500.00 refundable cleaning/security deposit
All amphitheater events require 2 security personnel hired through a Washoe County approved vendor. Current approved vendors include Allied Security Services and ESI Security Services. Allied Security can be arranged through our Parks Reservation staff by calling (775) 823-6501. Arrangements with ESI Security can be made directly at (775) 786-1122. Proof of security must be provided to our Parks Reservations office at least 30 days prior to the event.
