FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS:

  • Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) - allows you to set aside money from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis to pay for eligible dental and vision expenses.
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account- allows you to set aside money from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis for day care expenses.

DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLANS

As an employee of Washoe County, you participate in the Public Employees' Retirement System of Nevada which provides you with a monthly income when you retire. In addition, you can enroll in Washoe County's 457(b) or 401(a) Deferred Compensation Plans with Voya. You can contribute to the 457 (b) and 401(a) Plans using pre-tax dollars or contribute to the 457(b) Roth using after-tax dollars - a simple and easy way to save for your future.
