Park Hours
Washoe County Code Chapter 95.060:
1. Unless otherwise posted, parks and trailheads are open from sunrise to sunset.
2. Anyone in a park outside of normal operating hours without a special use permit (building reservation, field use permit, or other) is trespassing.
Washoe County park hours vary with the season. Parks and trailheads with posted hours are open as follows:
Spring: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
(First day of Spring time change to the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend)
Summer: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
(Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day)
Fall: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
(Day after Labor Day to Fall time change)
Winter*: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(Fall time change to Spring time change)
*Rancho San Rafael Regional Park and Hidden Valley Regional Park extend hours as the days grow longer during the winter season. Look for posting of park hours for updates.
