Reason for seeking position:

The AMA and the FAA would never be administered by non-medical personnel or by those who had never flown an aircraft. However, no trustee on the WCSD school board has ANY real life experience in academic classroom teaching, serving as a K-12 principal or superintendent, balancing public school budgets, supervising K-12 teachers, or maintaining respectful and safe, schoolwide learning environments. I accomplished all of the above for decades.

I am seeking the position of School Board Trustee for District G, At-Large because the present situation must change if Washoe County and our children are to have a successful future. I have the proven ability and the moral courage to do whatever needs to be done to accomplish this.

The 12 public schools and 2 private programs I taught at and led over a span of 38 years achieved record highs for academic achievement. Meanwhile, 90% of WCSD high school graduates don’t qualify for college-level classes.
The schools I taught at and led became safe, respectful, orderly and virtually free of drugs and gangs. Disturbingly, 2/3 of WCSD teachers who responded to a survey stated that they had either been assaulted by students or knew a teacher who had been, and disrespect of school staff was rampant.
The schools I led ALL had balanced or surplus budgets.
