Current Occupation:
I am President and CEO of Guardian Quest, Inc., a leading provider of organizational development leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training, coaching, and consulting programs.
Government Background:
I am honored to have been elected to represent Assembly District 27 in the Nevada State Assembly in 2022. Prior to that, I was appointed and then elected to serve on the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees from 2014 until 2022.
Reason for seeking position:
I’m a lifelong educator and a small business owner who has served my community for as long as I can remember. Whether as the historian at Traner Middle School or the assembly member from District 27, it’s an honor to work to help make things better. I believe that public service chooses you, you don’t choose it, and it chose me at an early age.
I continue to want to serve for three primary reasons:

1. I want to continue the work of improving education. Education changed my life and the trajectory of my family. It helps drive our state’s economic engine, providing the workers needed to fill jobs and the training needed for our businesses.

2. As a breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of quality healthcare. I want to ensure that every Nevadan has access to quality, affordable care they need for themselves and their families. This includes mental health, physical health, and protecting a woman’s right to make her own health decisions.

3. I’m a small business owner and know the challenges that presents. I also know that over 70% of the economic engine of our state is driven by small businesses, not the large ones. Many small businesses are owned by women, veterans, and people of color. Making sure that our state is a place where small business owners can be supported and developed is critical for our future.
