Washoe County Senior Services values the dedication of volunteers of all ages who help enrich the lives of older adults in our community. By sharing your time and talents, you can make a meaningful difference for seniors who need companionship, support, and essential services that promote dignity, independence, and well-being.

Senior Ambassador Program
The Senior Ambassador Program was created to expand services for seniors living in rural areas of Washoe County. Volunteers help combat senior hunger and isolation by delivering meals, connecting seniors to resources, and offering social support. All volunteers receive training and guidance to ensure a positive impact.
This program is funded through a Community Development Block Grant and was approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
