LATEST THINGS TO KNOW

Due to ongoing contruction at the Washoe County Reno Senior Center, the Grand Reopening has been rescheduled fo align with our Older Americans Month Information Fair on May 1, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Once renovations are complete, we believe the updated center will provide an even better experience for our beloved seniors.   

Senior Services will continue to offer meals from 11:15 am – 1:00 pm to seniors.  Meals will be served in the Art Town room (previously known as Daybreak) on the north side of the Senior Center Building, which holds 40-45 people.  Individuals must enter through the north side of the building as the main entrance will be closed.  Please see this map for the location of the north enterance

Seniors are encouraged to socialize, have conversation and coffee, and enjoy the facility Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  The Meals on Wheels Program will continue service without interruption.  

Several, regular Senior Center activities will be offered at our temporary meeting location: Evelyn Mount Center, located at 1301 Valley Road, in Reno, beginning January 8, at no-cost to Washoe County Seniors.

For those in need of a ride, the Regional Transportation Commission Route 2 offers bus stops at the Washoe County Complex to go to and from Evelyn Mount Center.
