2019 Regional Parks and Open Space Master Plan

This plan was created after an extensive public outreach process that included community workshops and an online survey, providing guidance and direction for the Washoe County Parks Program over the next few decades. Priorities include: identifying sustainable funding sources; further developing and building out regional parks; acquiring open space areas to conserve important natural and cultural resources; contributing to the development of the regional trails system; and maintaining current park infrastructure.

Accessible versions of these plans are not yet available, but please visit the Parks Archive page to view the 2019 Regional Parks and Open Space Master Plan, an executive summary for an overview of the plan, and the 2008 Washoe County Regional Open Space and Natural Resource Management Plan.
