Grants Management
Expading Resources for HSA Programs
The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) Grants Management team works to increase the funding available to support and enhance agency programs. By identifying, securing, and managing grants, this team helps HSA deliver improved services to children, adults, and seniors throughout the community.
How We Support HSA Programs
Grant Identification and Acquisition: The team actively searches for new funding opportunities, identifying grants that align with agency priorities and program needs. By securing these resources, they help expand the reach and quality of HSA services.
Grant Management and Compliance: Grants Management oversees an average of 58 active grants per year, valued at over $16 million. This includes monitoring funding requirements, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and tracking outcomes to maintain accountability and transparency.
Program Expansion and Enhancement: Funds secured through grants are used to grow and strengthen existing programs, enhance service delivery, and address emerging or previously unserved needs. This strategic use of resources ensures that HSA can respond effectively to the evolving needs of the community.
Supporting Vulnerable Populations: Whether by expanding current services or funding new initiatives, the team’s work helps provide resources, opportunities, and support for children, adults, and seniors who are most in need.
Strengthening the Agency
HSA programs, staff, and clients benefit from the Grants Management team’s efforts. By securing additional funding, the team ensures that programs have the resources to innovate, expand, and reach more people. Their work strengthens the agency’s capacity to deliver essential services and improve outcomes for the community.
