Preapplication
Have a initial idea that you have a plan and initial design? Preapplication meetings are required for specific projects within unincorporated Washoe County; however, are available to anyone who will benefit. The preapplication provides an opportunity to work directly with a local planning to review your specific project and determine if additional applications are required (or not). Complete a preapplication form and submit to planning@washoecounty.gov.

Predevelopment
Have a project design and almost ready to submit for application or permit? Predevelopment meetings are a virtual round table discussion with a preliminary design. The roundtable includes experts from Washoe County Engineering, Building, Planning and partnering agencies representing Health, Fire, Regional Traffic, and Public Safety (among others). The intent is to identify any known obstacles, based on the project and experience, that are more easily remedied prior to official submission.

Free expert support includes meeting with our professional experts individually when you have an intial concept of a project, small group meetings with planning experts to determine if there is a need for additional local review of the project idea and use of the property, and more comprehensive group meetings with regional experts when a preliminary project design is available.
