Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990

Title II of the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires state/local governments to give people with disabilities an equal opportunity to benefit from all of their programs, services, and activities. State/local governments cannot deny people with disabilities the chance to participate or make them participate in different programs than available to others.

File a Complaint:

Any person who believes he or she has been the object of unequal treatment or discrimination, or been excluded from participation in or denied benefits from any of Washoe County's programs, activities, or services based on a disability may file a complaint with Washoe County's ADA Coordinator within 180 days from the date of the alleged discrimination.
