FY26 CoC Funding Competition Application Process
Important Notice
On September 18, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reopened the FY 2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This follows a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit staying an earlier district court ruling that had vacated the NOFO.
HUD has established a new federal submission deadline of September 30, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET. Other than the new deadline and a minor technical correction, the NOFO is unchanged from the version originally released.
The Northern Nevada CoC will not reopen its local competition or accept new applications in response to the republished NOFO.
All previously approved and ranked applications on the Priority Listing will move forward to submit their final applications in e-snaps. Applicants with projects included in the CoC Priority Listing will be notified of the next steps for e-snaps submission and deadlines later today.
FY 2026 HUD Continuum of Care Competition and Youth Homeless Demonstration Program (YHDP) Application Process and Submission Instructions
The Northern Nevada Continuum of Care (CoC) is now accepting new and renewal project applications from all eligible agencies interested in applying for FY 2026 CoC funding administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Each agency must submit a separate application for each project, which will be reviewed and scored by the CoC Rank and Review Committee.
Available Funding
HUD has not yet published the FY 2026 Estimated Annual Renewal Demand (ARD) Report at this time. This information details the total amount of funding available to the Northern Nevada CoC for the FY 2026 competition.
New and Renewal Project Application Submission
All applications must be submitted to the Coc email:
- Email: cocmatchmaker@washoecounty.gov
- Include: Completed application, plus all required attachments
- Deadline: July 14, 2026, no later than 5:00 PM PT
