Our Place

Our Place logo

Our Place is a low-barrier emergency shelter for women and families experiencing homelessness. Our Place was designed to provide a warm, safe, and home-like environment to stay in while searching for permanent housing.

Washoe County staff and contracted operators offer guests at Our Place wrap-around services while they face daunting transitions to aid in ending their homelessness.

The collaborative model provides guests a supportive network during their stay at the shelter.

Our Place is compassion driven and outcome-based, with a focus on long-term housing solutions that fit the needs of individuals and families. We embrace human uniqueness because we recognize that it makes us stronger. Rather than seeking to build a program that pushes people to adapt, Our Place collaborates to build responsive interventions.
