The Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) is intended to assist in increasing awareness of the County’s financial condition and economic activity in a manner that is concise and easy to read. Much of the financial information in this report has been derived from the County's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and therefore reflects fiscal activity ended June 30 of the year indicated. The 2012 PAFR marks the first year that Washoe County produced this Report, the concept of which was developed by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada in 1991.
