Reason for seeking position:
Running for Reno City Council comes from a deep-rooted commitment to the future of our community—a future where every family, every child, and every individual in Reno can thrive in a vibrant, safe, and supportive economy and neighborhood. As moms, we’ve been tackling growing pains in Ward 6 together for years and now I am ready to do this through leadership on the Reno City Council.
At the core of my campaign is a commitment to protecting and growing the health of our local economy. I understand how the rising cost of living is straining families here. That’s why promoting a business-friendly environment that nurtures local entrepreneurs and attracts new investments is critical. We must create opportunities for better-paying jobs and ensure that our city remains resilient and dynamic. Reducing unnecessary city fees is also vital—every charge impacts our families and should only be implemented if it brings a clear benefit to our community. Addressing the core issues at the heart of our high cost of living and what we can do about them will be priority one.
Strengthening public safety is another priority of my campaign. There is nothing more crucial than knowing our families can live, work, and enjoy their lives without fear. By enhancing the capabilities and response times of our first responders and fostering cooperation across agencies, we can make our neighborhoods safer and more secure for everyone.
Furthermore, our parks and recreational spaces are not mere luxuries—they are essential to our community's spirit. They are places where families come together, where children freely at no additional cost to families. I am dedicated to expanding and enriching these communal spaces to make them more accessible and enjoyable for every resident in all areas of Reno.
This campaign is all about you; thoughtful leadership and decisions that impact your neighborhood, your pocketbook, your family’s safety and your peace of mind. It is about ensuring that Reno is not merely a place to settle for but a place to live richly, securely, and happily.
I am proud to have grown up in and with our amazing city, I am devoted to ensuring that Reno reaches its fullest potential—for our children, for our families, and for every citizen who calls this city home.
