Washoe County CDBG Program

For FY26-27 Grants (performance period starting July 1, 2027)

Washoe County will be considering projects for the Nevada State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funding FY26-27. Washoe County is eligible to apply for projects located in unincorporated areas of the county. The public is invited to participate by providing ideas, comments, and suggestions concerning potential projects. Public meetings will be held in person and via Zoom.

 

Intent to Apply

Submit Intent to ApplyDeadline September 3, 2026

IMPORTANT: All proposals must include the CDBG Impact Analysis Matrix with the Intent to Apply.

After receiving the Intent to Apply an Eligibility Questionnaire will be sent. 

Eligibility Deadline

Potential projects that were submitted via the Intent to Apply must complete the Eligibility Questionnaire by September 17, 2026 for review at the September 23, 2026 CDBG Public Meeting #2 - Potential Projects.

Grant Proposal Deadline

Deadline: November 20, 2026

Funding Overview

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has made approximately $2.4 million available for grants for community facilities, planning and capacity building, economic development, micro-enterprise programs, and housing rehabilitation. These grants are available on a competitive basis to Nevada’s 26 non-entitlement cities and counties. Washoe County is eligible to apply for projects located in unincorporated areas of the county.
