Washoe County Verdi TV District
Authority & Legal Basis
The Verdi Television (TV) District is a General Improvement District (GID) established under Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 318. Governed by Washoe County and managed by the Verdi TV District Board of Trustees, the District maintains and operates a facility that re-transmits “over-the-air” television and radio programming to residents within range. Those with a reliable antenna and unobstructed signal can receive multiple channels providing local news, emergency notifications, and public information.
The Verdi TV District is not a broadcasting facility or television repair service.
Membership
The Verdi TV District is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, each elected to a four-year term by residents of the District. Election cycles are managed by the Washoe County Registrar of Voters.
