The family court appoints the Public Defender’s Office to represent parents who qualify for representation in dependency cases under NRS 432B and termination of parental rights cases under NRS 128.

The court also appoints the Public Defender’s Office to represent individuals who are alleged to be in a mental health crisis under NRS 433A.
