10/1/18 Algae Update:
With the lowering temperatures, the concentration of algae present in Swan Lake has reduced to a level of: Not Detected based on the most current sample results collected on 9/20/18. No further sampling or testing is warranted this season. This course of action is consistent with the recommendation from the State of Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health and their review of the samples.

Microcystins/Nodularins Results
Based on EPA and CDC guidance documents for the type and concentrations of algae present in Swan Lake, the recommended course of action is continued monitoring. With the lowering temperatures verification is needed as to whether the concentration is staying steady or decreasing. This course of action is consistent with the recommendation from the State of Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health and their review of the samples.
