Children's Behavioral Health Center
The Washoe County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of the shuttered West Hills Hospital for use as a mental health inpatient facility for youth.

Overview
Construction is currently underway for what will be a 46,000-square-foot remodeled facility providing approximately 70 beds, indoor and outdoor recreational areas, classrooms, group rooms, specialty therapeutic settings, clinic space, residential units, and workforce training spaces.
The facility is intended to serve as a center for teaching and training the next generation of clinical workforce, while ensuring Washoe County youth have access to high-quality and current standards of care.
