What is Ballot Scout?

Ballot Scout is a free ballot-tracking system for Nevada voters. It is a collaboration between the Nevada Secretary of State Elections Division and Ballot Scout, a company that focuses on mail ballot tracking and notification services. The program lets voters track their mail ballots at every step, from when the ballot is sent to them and when it reaches the Washoe County Registrar of Voters' office and is officially counted.

How to track your Mail Ballot

To use Ballot Scout, voters must register online by providing their name and date of birth.

After registering, you can select to receive ballot updates via:

  • Text message
  • Email

These preferences can be updated on the website at any time, including changing how alerts are received or setting specific contact hours. With these features, Ballot Scout provides transparency and flexibility, making it easier for voters to stay updated on the status of their ballots.

Voters registered with BallotTrax will need to reregister to recieve notifications.

Ballot Information within your Registration

You can also use the Secretary of State's website and view your voter registration information to track the status of your ballot.
