hurleyReno, Nev. Nov. 29, 2018. Washoe County Manager John Slaughter is proud to announce the selection of Patricia Hurley as the new Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Washoe County.  

Hurley will be responsible for the development and delivery of countywide human resources strategies, services and programs. Already serving as interim Director of Human Resources, Hurley has experience in the role, and a robust career with Washoe County. Hurley began with Washoe County sixteen years ago, with the last fourteen years serving in the Human Resources Department.

Hurley earned her MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno and has received Certification as a Labor Relations Professional (CLRP). She was also recently appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval to serve as a Commissioner for the State of Nevada Personnel Commission.

“Patricia’s strategic and innovative thinking has made her a key contributor to the success of Washoe County, and our employees,” says Washoe County Manager, John Slaughter. “She has a proven track record of launching successful HR programs within the county and leading a talented team.”

Patricia Hurley will begin her new role on December 3, 2018.
