Washoe County Code

NOTICE: Washoe County has adopted the 2024 editions of the ICC codes and the 2023 NEC, effective July 1, 2025. A 6-month grace period will provide a transition during which either the new codes or the old codes can be used. From July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, applicants may use either the 2018 or 2024 codes (submittals must be designed to either one or the other, not both). Starting January 1, 2026 compliance with the 2024 code editions is required.

**Note: The 6-month grace period ending December 31, 2025 that the old codes will be accepted does not apply to projects that will require the "Mastering" process. All masters will be required to be submitted under the newly adopted codes.**
