Military and Overseas Citizens

Are you in the military and stationed outside the United States or a US Citizen living overseas?

Military and overseas voters (Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA)) must submit a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) each calendar year in which they wish to vote by mail.  This form can also be used to register to vote and as a request for a mail ballot.  Click Here for the fillable FPCA form (must be printed and signed).  UOCAVA voters may also submit a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) (Click Here to learn more about the FWAB) to simultaneously submit their Official Backup Ballot and register to vote.  Click Here for the fillable FWAB form.

Completed forms can be mailed, emailed, or faxed to the Washoe County Registrar of Voters at:

The deadline to submit a FPCA or FWAB to register to vote or request a mail-in ballot and return the completed ballot is by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

UOCAVA VOTERS CAN USE EASE TO REGISTER, MARK AND SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT

EASE IS AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY, OVERSEAS CITIZENS, AND VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES

Click on the link below for information from the Nevada Secretary of State about voting using EASE.  This link will take you to information on the Effective Absentee System for Elections (EASE) which is an online resource that integrates voter registration and electronic ballot delivery for active members of the United States Armed Forces, their spouses and dependents, Nevada voters who reside outside of the U. S., and for voters with disabilities.  This service opens beginning 45 days from the election.

You may also visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) at www.fvap.gov for additional information regarding voting assistance for Service members, their families, and citizens living overseas.
