Effective January 2, 2019 the Reno Justice Court is changing the process for setting eviction hearings. If an affidavit of tenant is filed contesting a notice and a hearing is granted the court will no longer contact you to set a hearing. The court will wait until parties come in to file all of the paperwork for the lockout order and at that time a hearing will be set. The hearing will typically be set within two business days depending on the availability of the court calendar.
Uncontested evictions will be handled the same as previously by the court.
