Washoe County Library System is excited to announce the launch of our 2020 Summer Reading Program on June 1!

Celebrate summer with Washoe County Library System's 2020 community-wide Virtual Summer Reading Adventure. This year's theme is Imagine Your Story, and the Library has been reimagining the Summer program to offer new and exciting virtual and interactive programming and services all summer long.

The Washoe County Library System has been changing the way they provide services to the community in almost every way. In addition to existing services like ebooks and digital magazines, the Library now offers Virtual Story Time twice daily 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and is rolling out virtual book clubs, STEAM events, expanded digital content and databases, and educational and cultural events for all ages.

Imagine Your Story, the 2020 Summer Reading Adventure, runs from June 1 through July 31, 2020. The program for young readers and pre-readers is geared towards helping young children build reading and language skills, and to help prepare them for success by developing those skills at an early age. The Library will also offer virtual programs to help motivate teens to read and discuss literature, and to encourage adults to experience the joy of reading. It is great for all ages!
