Reno, Nev. August 31, 2018. Washoe County, in collaboration with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, is excited to announce new vendor, CryWolf False Alarm Solutions (CryWolf) to reduce the number of false alarm triggers in Washoe County.
Washoe County officials will be switching to CryWolf to improve customer service effective September 4, 2018.
Per a Washoe County ordinance, since 2009 the county has been working to reduce the number of false alarm calls that are responded to by Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Responses to false alarms divert law enforcement resources, potentially from crimes in progress, other emergency situations, and time spent patrolling assigned areas.
During this transition to the new vendor, Washoe County officials ask residents to be patient and call Washoe311 should they have questions or concerns.
