Reno, Nevada. Feb. 15, 2018. The Reno Bighorns have teamed up with Moxy Health Policy & Consulting LLC and SilverSummit Healthplan to host the inaugural #MakeGoodChoices night on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center.

The goal of the night is to introduce the youth of northern Nevada to the positive platform of mentoring through a mentoring matters campaign where attendees will be able to engage in interactive demonstrations with first responders during the match-up. Throughout the game the Bighorns will honor mentors who have had a positive impact in the community.

Youth will have the opportunity to visit nine stations throughout the game. The first responders and foundation leaders will be providing lessons on different topics such as safety first, staying drug free, making healthy food choices and much more. After completing the nine-station tour successfully, each participant will receive a booklet sponsored by the Bighorns.

The Bighorns, Moxy Health Policy & Consulting LLC, and SilverSummit Healthplan are dedicated to educating Washoe, Carson, and Douglas County’s youth on their environment (home, school, where they play, and work).

“We believe in the importance for youth to learn and understand their environment,” said Coleen Lawrence, Moxi Health Owner. “Because every moment counts for them to make good choices.”

Throughout the Feb. 21 contest, the Bighorns will provide autographs, prizes, and guest appearances.
