Senior Fest Offers a Variety of Fun and Services for Washoe County’s Elderly
Largest event for seniors in Northern Nevada promotes healthy aging and wellness.

Reno, Nevada. Aug. 31, 2017. In conjunction with Senior Spectrum, the Washoe County Human Services Agency’s Senior Services Division is proud to announce Senior Fest is returning to the Reno Town Mall on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at 9 a.m.

In its 22nd year, Senior Fest connects seniors and caregivers to resources and vital services to help them age in place in the community and maintain independence. 

Senior Fest is the largest senior outreach of its type in Northern Nevada. More than 60 businesses and agencies will be on hand offering a variety of valuable resources. 

The following services and much more will be offered to seniors who attend:

  • Health screenings (hearing, vision, dental)
  • Flu shots
  • Medicare
  • VA  benefits information
  • Health insurance counseling
  • Info about assisted/independent living
  • Parks and recreation programs

Where: Reno Town Mall, located at 4001 S. Virginia St. 89502

When: Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Senior Fest offers a plethora of entertainment, featuring live music by Colin Ross, Erika Paul and the Swingin’ Jazz Kats. In addition, Eldorado Hotel Casino and illusionist Adam Trent, and the Next Generation of Magic will perform.

Parking is available at the Reno Town Mall and the Atlantis Resort parking lot, with shuttle service provided by Lakeside Manor. Transportation by RTC is available nearby on Route 1: South Virginia Street and Route 6: Peckham Lane. 

Senior Fest 2017 is free and open to the public.
