RENO, NV – Farmers Markets are gearing up for the season with healthy, fresh, and nutritious fruits and vegetables. This summer the Washoe County Health District’s WIC program (Women, Infants, and Children) is excited to offer its participants coupons to use at select farmers markets.

The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program was established to provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruit and vegetables to WIC participants, and to expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers markets. Fruits and vegetables are an essential part of a healthy diet.

Washoe County Health District WIC participants are encouraged to contact their local office to receive their coupons.
