Keep in mind that an incident can occur during normal work hours, at night, or on a weekend, and may last for many days. Each member of the Medical Reserve Corps is expected to:
- Participate in an orientation session
- Develop and put in place a personal emergency preparedness plan
- Participate in trainings and exercises
- Participate in just-in-time training upon deployment to understand the management strategies for the specific incident
- Accept assignments and work collaboratively with other members of a team
- Act in a professional manner when representing the Medical Reserve Corps
